Sanaye Farhangi Iran- Safir, founded in 1989 in Tehran- Iran is a management center for designing and producing replicas of museum pieces and molding sculptures and reliefs of ancient Persia, particularly those created in the first great period of Persian art in Persepolis (500 B.C.). The main material used in these replicas is synthetic resin, a soft substance that can be easily molded into desired shapes and later dyed in a way to look or feel stone, metal, or even wood to one's touch. The stone used n Silverwork is a glass-like stone of volcanic origin called Obsidian.
